MH Series PTT Assemblies

We currently offer seven different styles of PTT assemblies to choose from. You can select a single style or several different styles when placing your order. For example, one PTT style may be more appropriate for entry team personnel while another may be more valid for the sniper contingent.

Style “J” Rectangular Push-To Talk Assembly

Constructed of high-impact, black polycarbonate measuring 2 1/2 wide X 11/4” high X 5/8” deep. The easily accessbile PTT activation switch is available with or without a protective shroud. Heavy duty strain and stress reliefs provide added protection and reliability to the headset and radio interface cables. A stainless steel alligator-style clip, with protective rubber grips, allows for simple, firm positioning on a belt, LBE or MOLLE vest. An alternative Velcro mount is available for attachment as well.

Style “K” Square Push-To-Talk Assembly

Constructed of black heavy-duty aluminum measuring 2” wide X 2” high X 1 1/4” deep. The side mounted, PTT activation switch is quiet and shrouded to avoid accidental transmission. Headset and radio interface cables are captured firmly by watertight, nylon cable fittings. The Style “K” also includes a watertight connector port to allow for use of one of two styles of optional remote finger switches. The optional remote radio volume control can also be installed on this assembly. A stainless steel alligator-style clip, with protective rubber grips, allows for simple, firm positioning on a belt, LBE or MOLLE vest. An alternative Velcro mount is available for attachment as well.

Style “L” Inline Push-To-Talk Assembly

Constructed of high-impact, black polycarbonate, the Style “L” assembly features an inline housing that measures approximately 3 inches in length by approximately 3/4 of an inch in height and width containing circuitry specific to the radio. 1” cable stress and strain reliefs are featured at both cable entry points of the housing. The push-to-talk switch is attached to a secondary cable exiting the inline housing. The standard PTT cable length is 48” (but can be custom manufactured at any requested length), allowing an operator to weave the PTT switch cable through a vest and down the sleeve to the preferred area of positioning. Two styles of PTT switches are available: a) the water-resistant version (“WR”) is a small, dime sized switch designed to be affixed to an index finger, via a Velcro band, for activation with the thumb; or b) the waterproof version (“WP”) is designed to offer multiple positioning options including on an index finger, the wrist, a vest or a weapon via the provided Velcro strap. An alligator-style clip allows for simple and firm positioning of the inline housing on a belt, LBE or MOLLE vest. An alternative Velcro mount is available for attachment as well.

Style “M” Inline Push-To-Talk Assembly

Constructed of high-impact, black polycarbonate, the Style “M” is exactly the same as the Style “L” described above, EXCEPT the PTT switch is recessed, mounted on the top of the inline circuitry housing rather than on a separate cable for remote positioning. The “M” housing contains both the circuitry specific to the radio and the psuh-to-talk activation switch. An alligator-style clip allows for simple and firm positioning of the inline housing on a belt, LBE or MOLLE vest. An alternative Velcro mount is available for attachment as well.

Style “S” Inline Push-To-Talk Assembly

Constructed of high-impact, black polycarbonate, the Style “S” assembly is a combination of the “L” and “M” assemblies above –offering dual PTT switches. The inline housing measures approximately 3 inches in length by approximately ¾ of an inch in height and width, containing circuitry specific to the radio. 1” cable stress and strain reliefs are featured at both cable entry points of the housing. As previously mentioned, the “S” assembly features dual push to talk switches – one mounted flush on the face of the inline housing and another interfaced to a secondary cable exiting the inline housing. The standard PTT cable length is 48” (but can be custom manufactured at any requested length), allowing an operator to weave the cabled PTT switch through a vest and down the sleeve to the preferred area of positioning. Style “R” Round Push-To-Talk Assembly

Now Available in Midnight Black and Olive Drab

Constructed of high-impact polycarbonate, the style “R” measures 2” in overall diameter X 1 1/8” deep. Heavy duty strains and stress reliefs provide added protection and reliability to the headset and radio interface cables. The PTT activation switch is recessed inside the outer rim of the assembly housing to help prevent accidental transmission. The Style “R” can also be manufactured to include a watertight connector port to allow for use of one of two styles of remote finger switches. A stainless steel alligator-style clip, with protective rubber grips, allows for simple, firm positioning on a belt, LBE or MOLLE vest. An alternative Velcro mount is available for attachment as well. The Style “R” assembly is available in both Midnight Black and Olive Drab.

Style “Combat” Push-To-Talk Assembly

The Style “Combat” is a hybrid of the Style “K” in that it features 2 mounted switches. The standard side mounted PTT activation switch is quiet and is shrouded to avoid accidental transmission. The front of the push-to-talk housing features a black, ‘emergency’ activation switch measuring 1 ½” in diameter, surrounded by a protective shroud. The ‘emergency’ switch is designed to provide both an ‘audible click’ and ‘tactile feel’ when depressed and released. The “Combat” push-to-talk can be custom built to allow for dual comms capabilities, if desired, allowing each PTT switch to control a different radio.
